Parramatta Aquatic & Leisure Centre

The Parramatta Aquatic Centre is a multi-award-winning project that has set a new benchmark for public recreational facilities. The centre has received numerous accolades, including the Master Builders Association (MBA) NSW Excellence in Construction Award for Sporting Facilities, a National Excellence in Construction Award, the prestigious Sir John Sulman Medal at the Australian Institute of Architects' NSW Awards for Public Architecture, and an Urban Design Award.

Designed by Grimshaw in collaboration with Andrew Burges Architects and built by Lipman, the centre offers world-class aquatic and community spaces.

AKM Projects were engaged to deliver the striking perforated, corrugated facade system, including the iconic ring walkway feature that elegantly circulates around the outdoor pool, creating a dynamic and inviting architectural statement.
