AKM Projects worked with PDC Paynter Dixon on the expansion and refurbishment of Mater Hospital, helping enhance essential healthcare facilities within an operational clinical environment.

The project included an extension to the hospital carpark, a new Palliative Care ward, and the renovation and extension of the existing Day Surgery ward. Combining new construction with complex refurbishment works, the development provided improved facilities for patients and hospital staff.

Careful staging, detailed coordination and close collaboration with hospital stakeholders enabled the works to be delivered while maintaining hospital operations and minimising disruption to patients, staff and visitors.
